This Čezeta 501 from the Czech manufacturer ČZ was also entrusted to us by a Prague collector for a complete restoration. This scooter, which was also exported to many former sister countries, can still be found today at many classic car meetings in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the new federal states. The supply of spare parts is still good today. They represent an interesting alternative to the Vespa, which is ubiquitous in western European countries.

The Čezeta 501 was characterized by its unique and futuristic design. Its characteristic feature was its curved, streamlined body, reminiscent of the shape of a rocket. This design was very modern in the 1950s and was clearly different from other scooters of its time.
Under the hood of the Čezeta 501 was a single-cylinder, two-stroke engine with a displacement of 175 cc, which developed an output of about 9 hp. This engine gave the scooter a top speed of about 85 km/h and provided sufficient power for city traffic and short trips.
The Čezeta 501 was offered in several model variants, including a version with a sidecar, making it a versatile vehicle for different purposes.
Today, well-preserved examples of the Čezeta 501 are highly sought after by collectors of classic scooters and lovers of retro vehicles. This scooter remains a symbol of the golden age of Czechoslovak mobility and the unique design of the 1950s.
