This great 911 Targa came to us in late autumn 2024. Unfortunately, it was in a very pitiful condition. The accident at the front and many unprofessional repairs were unfortunately not properly recognized by the owner before the purchase and therefore not taken into account in the purchase price negotiations. We have been commissioned to fix the bodywork and paint it in 2025. The owner will take care of the mechanical work himself.

The Porsche 911 Targa of the G-model, produced from 1973 to 1989, combines the classic 911 shape with an innovative roof concept. The term "Targa" is derived from the Italian word for "shield" and was introduced by Porsche to describe a removable roof center section with a fixed roll bar.
The G model is characterized by distinctive bumpers with bellows that complied with the US safety regulations of the time. The 911 Targa is powered by air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engines, which over the course of the production period ranged from 2.7 to 3.0 to 3.2 liters in displacement and an output of 150 to 231 hp.
The Targa offers the driving experience of a convertible with the rigidity of a coupe. The removable roof section enables open-top driving, while the roll bar ensures safety. The interior features high-quality materials such as leather and optional features such as air conditioning and electric windows.
Today, the 911 Targa of the G-model is a sought-after classic. Its combination of timeless design, robust technology and the unique Targa roof make it a valued collector's item. Well-preserved examples show a continuous increase in value and are popular with classic car enthusiasts worldwide.
