This rare example of a Simca 1200S Coupe was entrusted to us by a Prague lover of classic French vintage cars from the 1960s. For this customer, it is already the third restoration with YOR. Unfortunately, the car was not complete and there had already been several restoration attempts in the past. We have a second scrap vehicle available as a spare parts donor. Updates will follow as the project progresses.

A striking example of French automotive art, the Simca 1200S Coupé was produced from 1967 to 1971. Designed by the famous Italian designer Bertone, the 1200S Coupé stands out with its elegant, sporty lines and advanced technology. It represents an interesting mix of French engineering and Italian design and is considered one of the most stylish cars of its time.
The Simca 1200S Coupé is characterized by its flowing, aerodynamic lines, typical of Bertone's design work. With its low roofline, distinctive front grille and slim headlights, the coupé offered an elegant yet sporty appearance. Its compact design was a clear departure from the larger and more conservative models that were common in Europe at the time.
Under the hood, the 1200S Coupé featured a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine, which produced 85bhp in the most powerful version. This engine was known for its liveliness and provided impressive acceleration and a top speed that is still impressive today.
Inside, the Simca 1200S Coupé offered a surprisingly spacious and comfortable interior for its size. The seats were comfortable and made the vehicle attractive even for longer journeys. The coupé now enjoys a special status among vintage car enthusiasts of classic French vehicles. It is valued for its unique combination of aesthetic appeal and great driving performance.
