Triumph, founded in England in 1885, originally started as a manufacturer of bicycles and motorcycles. From the 1920s onwards, the company also entered the automobile production sector and became particularly well-known after the Second World War for sporty models such as the Triumph TR2.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Triumph achieved cult status with vehicles such as the TR6 and the Spitfire, which impressed with their elegance, agility and affordable sportiness. Triumph later belonged to British Leyland, where the brand was phased out in the 1980s due to economic difficulties.
Today, Triumph remains a symbol of British engineering and sporty driving pleasure.
